Torazo 1917 Breeders Book

This book was started by Tsuyoshi’s (Torazo), great grandfather, Chuzo Kawakami in 1917.

This was a means of keeping track of certain Koi of interest at that time. Usually parent Koi and other prominent Koi. Each year there would be new entries. Tsuyoshi’s father, Hiroshi Kawakami, finished the book in 1955.

In October 2005 Tsuyoshi and I took the photos of the pages from the book that you see below. Tsuyoshi then translated the pages.
